with the rigging having a set back and ordering bigger thimbles work started on the window surround board that was made but no holes for the window fixings done
so the metal strips were added on with ca glue to hold and then screws put in to hold in place for the other holes to be drilled, sods law says they wont line up on the boat window itself.
the bolt for holding the stanchion was measured and ordered m10 x 60mm hopefully it will screw itself in to the metal work bbut some jb weld will help.
the rigging bottle screws were cut so now im committed to the dyneme lashing idea 4mm wrapped at least 4 times and secured should be way strnger than the bottle screws, with the tabernackle being altered the present wire rope would have been too short , it was on its limit anyway.
20mm of dynema is more than enough , the baby stays were 3mm so they would be more than strong enough
to raise the mast initially and hold tempory fixings can be used to hold it before doing the proper lashing and tensioning.
James on SV Zingaro shows what i want to do myself re the lashing.
