Aberystwyth compared to this season theory
just redid this as i now know where i will be , i think so as you can see less travel and only a few pounds a month more if the same Season is to be achieved based on 15 actual sails , during the 2024 the reality was no sailing due to travel problems.
being far more local this should be achieved if the weather plays ball.and the tide is right
Aberystwyth Mooring
with a bit of going back and forth with mooring ideas and now the pontoon closed to new people as it needs repair i have decided that the gap is the spot for me. means some planing when to launch but with the winter in mind for tidying and doing projects this will be ideal#
has own parking spot and trailer berthing roll on November

SSR Registration
well at last i have registered the boat for a SSR
the boat had one by the prev owner but that had expired
so i wanted to re apply for myself
so to apply you applt for a section 3 small boat register after making an account
you fill in the details of boat and then upload
bill of sale and proof of payment is needed nothing else its that simple
to sail on rivers and lakes in certain parts of the UK u have to have a SSR
i did also read you have have it before legally flying the British Ensign
ordered some new stickers off ebay only £3.99 bargain

Project Battery box and bilge pump
Project Battery box and bilge pump:
ive had this battery box since April 2023 when i bought Black Magic, knowing the correct way to wire it all so it worked was the issue
the parts needed were some wago terminals easy to connect and undo rather than crimping
so after a few permutations to get the pump working then the battery voltage meter then the usb sockets then the 12v cigar lighter it was done
manually turn the pump on as no auto sensor on the pump
when on the boat it will have longer wires to poisition the pump in the right place, but at least this is removable so some disconnection terminalls for the pump needed
very pleased all i need now is add the solar panel and mmpt charge controler and it can stay on the boat for a power bank .
in thi position the pump is manually on as no float switch |
12v 6amp batt £16 approx |
good use of wago terminals for connection |
